Does anyone remember watching this film & got scary thoughts about what it would really be like , well here in Scotland & the rest of the UK it almost feels like that right now, we've had snow for about 3 weeks now, & we're still expecting some more soon, so far it's reached -22C in parts of Scotland. I wonder how cold it really is where you guys are there?

What's it like where you are there? It's absolutley freezing here.
there's a real panic in some areas of the country about shortages , like fuel, bread, & other goods , lucky that I had plenty stored up for ages here,so I don't need to rush to the shops.
the only times that I want to see snow again is on Christmas cards & on other photo's that's enough for me.

I'd love to be somewhere warm on one of the Canary Islands right now soaking up the sun, instead of shovelling shitty snow everywhere, back breaking trying to get it off the paths.

Funny you should say that about it being like the Day After Tomorrow, I thought the very same on Wednesday, temperatures dropping to local and national record lows and staying so low for so long, can't be anything but worrying, and being snowed in for the 5th day, eventually got enough help and was dug out on Friday, boy was that a relief !

lol, nice one Howling, mind you the griters on the road who are doing a fantatic job so far, I just hope that there's still plenty of salt/grit to last this season through here, I've been stocking up on some of the local grit/salt from the public yellow bins to help keeping the paths cleared.

I must admit I have enjoyed sliding on my backside down some great big hills around here, its great fun.

Just when things where starting to look ok again here, when we thought the snow was melting from the rooftops & during the night it came back again & yipe! we're snowed in again. Another few days off work here. woo-hoo!

yep he was dishy there. He was 31 when the movie Tommy was made in 1975, so he's 66 now (date of birth March 1 1944)

It doesn't look any less like Day After Tomorrow here and throughout Scotland, seeing it all on the News, looks desperate with the country virtually grinding to a halt.

I saw several pairs of skis in the local charity shop this afternoon at £9.99 a pair, wonder how fast they'll sell out
