Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 63 year old legendary axeman revealed that he's recently been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma.

Black Sabbath released a statement:

"With the news that Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, his bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time.

"Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan. The Iron Man of Rock & Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.

"This comes as Black Sabbath are writing and recording in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin. They will now go to the UK to continue to work with Tony."

I had read the news on blabbermouth, and this news sucks big time.
Iommi to me, is the most important person in heavy metal history!

I am not a doctor but apparently when treated after early discovery, there will be a very good chance for a person to beat this.

Fingers crossed that Iommi will beat this.
I had bought tickets for the Rotterdam show in Holland but i doubt if this tour will continue.
Iommi's treatment is of course way more important!
