Judas Priest

I love Judas Priest, I've seen them a few times over the years , I was so happy to get a T-shirt with the British Steel album cover on it, it's such a classic cover with the razor blade in hand, it looks almost as if its slicing into the fingers & what a great album it is .
Had Judas Priest released just this one album, it would still go down in history: full blown metallic sound, awesome solos, great lyrics, and god-like vocals: this album has it all. Released in 1980, British Steel opened the era of British metal as we know it (and American metal consequently).

Judas Priest was one of the most influential heavy metal bands of the 70s, the core band comprised Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, KK Downing and Ian Hill. They set the pace for much popular heavy metal from 1975 until 1985, as well as laying down the groundwork for the speed and death metal of the 80s.
